Scholarship Shortlist is run by one person, Tyler Stanton, a parent who built it for his own senior. This page says plainly what is kept, where, and how to get rid of it.

What we keep when you buy

• Your email address, your student's first name and their graduation year, from the checkout page.
• Your sign-in code, and a record that the payment went through. Stripe takes the payment; we never see or store a card number.

What we keep while you use the board

• Your student's profile answers (school, grades, test scores, interests, and any of the optional questions about family, faith, heritage, health or service that you choose to answer). Every one of those is optional, and "prefer not to say" is always an answer.
• What you mark on the board (started, submitted, won), the numbers you type into the money page, and anything written in the Kit Builder.
• A short list of profile labels (for example "engineering" or "first in family"), used to see which kinds of scholarships families need more of, and simple usage counts such as which days the board was opened.

It is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts the site. It is used for one thing: showing your student the scholarships they qualify for. It is never sold, never shared with a scholarship sponsor or college, never attached to an application, and never used to advertise to you.

Who can see it

Anyone with your code can open your board, so treat the code like a password. Tyler can see family records to help when something goes wrong. Nobody else.

Cookies

One cookie keeps a device signed in for up to a year. There is no advertising or tracking cookie.

Email

We email you your code, and reply when you write to us. Emails are sent through Resend. No newsletter, and your address is never given to anyone else.

The free pages

The calculator and the cost pages keep nothing you type. The sample board keeps nothing either. The counselor scratch pad keeps a student's answers only in that browser tab; they are never sent to us and are gone when the tab closes.

Deleting it

Email [email protected] from the address you bought with and ask. Your board, your answers and your family record are deleted, and your code stops working. Stripe keeps its own record of the payment, as the law requires it to.

Students under 18

The board is bought by a parent or guardian, or by a student who is an adult. A parent who buys it for a younger student is agreeing to this page on their behalf.
